- LAST STRAW

Ever have one of those weeks? My friend Cathy (best friend in high school and roommate at BYU) emailed to say her Mom passed away on Sunday. I was so sad to hear the news and have been so sad that I live so far away. I have another friend going through a tough time too and don't feel like I'm able to be there for either of them. On top of that, I haven't been sleeping well the last couple of weeks. 3-4 hours sleep isn't cutting it for me. A co-worker that I love is moving away and her last day is tomorrow. I decided, last minute, to put together a small scrapbook of work related photos for her to remember us by. I wanted to give it to her tomorrow at her going-away party. I stopped by Walmart to pick up the pictures and they screwed them all up! UGH!!!! THEN on the way home from work today I was in a car accident. I was hit by a bus! Seriously. Okay - the pity party is over now. I'm going to bed. I'll start over tomorrow.

Here we are pulled over at the side of the road, exchanging information. Bus driver Beverley was SO upset. I kept assuring her that I was okay, that it was an accident, that it was just a car, that it was fixable. She felt so bad. We waited for her supervisor to arrive to assess the damage. I'll give them a couple of estimates and they'll pay for the damage.

The back door will need to be replaced.

And the damage continues onto the back panel of the car. Could be costly.

Here's Beverley's supervisor Bob checking out the damage to the bus. Not a scratch, just a little paint from my car on the front bumper.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! It is so frustrating not to be able to be all things and do all things for those you love! I am so glad that there is an eternity where there will be no time or distance restraints!!! It is worth the struggle if that will be the reward!!! Sending my love you way; may tomorrow be a better day!

Unbelieveably bad day! I'm so sorry, especially about your friend's mom. She must have been very special to you.

I just googled my Mom's name and your blog came up. How sweet to mention her. She sure loved you and thought a lot of you. It meant the world to her that you always remembered her around Christmas and sent her a Christmas Letter! She loved it. I think you are her all time favorite of my friends. Thanks Tambarino, I love you!
