Baby Shower

This morning, Pam, Alyssa and I threw a shower for Dani. She'll be having baby #2 in the next few days - a boy this time! We are so excited for his arrival. We had such a fun time celebrating this special time with her.

Our theme was Rubber Ducky. I had to make blue punch.

We served chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salad, fresh fruit and a veggie platter.

We had cake for dessert.

We played "guess the celebrity baby".

We also played "who can 'birth' their baby first". Alyssa won.

Today Alyssa and I drove to Concord to attend a SURPRISE bridal shower for Kurt's sister's daughter Kristina. She's getting married January 20th, and Norma (her sister) wanted to give her a shower (even though Kristina's wanting to keep things really low key). We had a fun time playing games, eating vegan food (Kristina's vegan), and watching the bride-to-be open her presents. It was so nice to see some of the Kentner family again.

The purse game was fun. Alyssa won, I came in second. (Apparently we've been too busy to clean out our purses for awhile ;)

Alyssa also won the coveted "Diva Bag".

Kristina was a good sport today. We suspect a little bird spilled the beans and she kind of "knew" about the surprise.

Kristina received some really fun gifts. I can't wait to meet her future husband Bob.

On the way home, Alyssa and I stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. It was nice to spend the day together doing something silly.

We took the factory tour and did a little bean tasting.
The newest flavors, that I really liked, were pomegranate and apple pie.
We had no desire to try the new BeanBoozled flavors, however (see below).
