Today I had the privilege of attending the wedding of Kurt Berejkoff and Kayla Montgomery at the Sacramento LDS Temple. It was a beautiful ceremony. Congratulations Kurt and Kayla!

- 2009 SUSAN G. KOMEN SACRAMENTO RACE FOR THE CURE - MAY 9, 2009
Tonight was the kick-off for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I registered our team "Friends for the Cure". This will be my 4th year participating in this event and our 3rd year as a team. I look forward to having a bigger team than ever this year! Please let me know if you're interested in participating!
- DELAYED VALENTINE'S BAKING ACTIVITY
Last Wednesday we got snowed out. Our YW Valentine's Day baking activity was canceled because the roads to the church weren't safe. We decided that it's never too late to bake heart-shaped cookies, so.....
tonight we all gathered in the kitchen at the church and made stained glass sugar cookies and heart shaped rice krispie treats.

- MARLEY AND ME
I just finished reading a really great book. No, I haven't seen the movie - not sure if I will. It always disappoints me to see the movie after reading the book. It never quite measures up. I laughed and cried myself all the way through "Marley & Me". I'm not really much of a dog person, but this one made me ALMOST think about being a dog owner (that's really saying something). It also prepared me to have empathy for my friend Karen who lost her dog Salsa this week. He was 12 years old and truly her baby. I had a good visit with Karen tonight. She shared her favorite memories of Salsa with me and we had a good cry. I left chocolate. Chocolate always makes things better. - DOUBLE RAINBOW AT SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
