Ten in 2010

January 1st always seems like the perfect time to think about where I am in my life and where I'd like to be. I've been pondering the things I'd like to accomplish most this year and although my list is long, I believe my goals are attainable. Most of these things I'm already doing, to some extent, but I just need to do them better or more often.

My goals for 2010:

1. Spiritual - Be more prayerful - Study scriptures daily - Attend the Temple at least once a month - Fast with a purpose - Magnify my calling - Complete new YW Personal Progress Program - 100% Visiting Teaching - Family home evening every week
2. Family - Spend more time with grandchildren - Stay better in touch with extended family
3. Home - Organize basement/food storage - Paint and carpet guest room
4. Service - Be a better example of service this year
5. Learning - Take photography class - Learn to snowshoe
6. Physical - Daily exercise program - Train for marathon this year - Drink more water - Get more sleep (at least 7 hrs per night) - Eat healthier
7. Interests and Hobbies - Try new recipe weekly - Make a quilt this year - Monthly craft day with Alyssa
8. Social - Entertain more often in my home - Get to know my neighbors better
9. Travel - Travel to Honolulu, Maui, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia this year.
10. Fun - Weekly date night with hubby

Applesauce at the Cannery

Today Kurt and I went to the Sacramento Cannery to can applesauce. It was a lot of fun. We canned 48 cans of applesauce for ourselves and helped can extra for the Bishop's storehouse.

This is what we saw when we drove into the parking lot. Bins and bins of apples!

Kurt receiving instructions before we start.

On the assembly line as thousands of apples pass by.

Georgette, our ward emergency preparedness specialist.

Lots of applesauce to put on our shelves. Can't wait to taste it!

The Last Load

After about 10 trips with our cars and truck, we delivered the last load of Tyler's worldly goods to his new home in Roseville tonight at 10 pm. We are so excited for him and can't wait to see how everything looks in his house. We're sure going to miss having him here, but know how excited he is to be a homeowner.
