- WILD FIRES

The skies have been really smokey in our area for the last couple of days due to wildfires all over California. The fires started because of lightning storms over the weekend. Tonight there are over 840 fires burning around the state. Governor Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency in several hard hit areas. Air quality has been pretty bad here in Placerville today. Tonight when I drove down to Folsom, it was hard to breathe and the sunset was an eerie red.
