- RACHEL AND JASON

- ELEPHANT BAR

Tara and Greg have never spent a night away together without kids....for 10 1/2 years! Tonight was the night! Tara's parents watched the kids and they booked a room at the same hotel they stayed at on their honeymoon. They figured they'd better have one last get-away before baby #5 arrives. They asked us to meet them at Elephant Bar for dinner. Yummy food, lots of laughs, and I've never seen them looking more relaxed ;)

- OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Tonight was our annual office Christmas Party. We had dinner at Heyday Cafe. What a great restaurant! I had the seared salmon over Thai dirty rice with spicy orange glaze. It was AMAZING. Judy and I shared our desserts. I ordered the brownie with vanilla gelato and she had the orange 50/50 creme brulee. WOW! Love this place!

Left to right - Dr. K, Peggy, Moi, Kathy, Alice, Shandra, Karen and Judy.

The front office staff - Judy, Tami and Alice - wearing the flashy Christmas necklaces Peggy gave us.

The back office staff - deep in conversation about something important ;)

Judy all bundled up after dinner. It was SO cold outside.
What a fun night! Thanks Dr. Kiholm!!!!!

- CAROLING WITH THE YM/YW

Tonight the Placerville Ward YM/YW went Christmas caroling.

Our first stop was to visit Sister Grundy at the retirement center across from the church.

Alyssa's future Grandma - Helen Grundy (and father-in-law - Dean)

Second stop was Sister Hoernig's house. She's a recent convert to the church. She sang along with us and seemed to really enjoy our visit.

Thumbs up from Aaron and Spencer.

Scotty delivering our goody plates to the Booth and Chance families.

After caroling we came back to the church to get warm and have cookies and hot chocolate.

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARA

I took a couple of days off from work this week to work on Christmas/Wedding stuff. I made a pitstop in Rancho Cordova this morning to see Tara. It's her 29th birthday today. I wanted to give her the Mamma Mia DVD that just came out yesterday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARA!

- DAY OFF

This morning a I took a walk around our property.

Rusty and Rolly came to greet me. Who would ever have imagined that I'd learn to love a couple of goofy goats!

I was glad to see our new lemon tree produced "1" lemon this year!

Our first Satsuma Mandarin Orange!
Can't wait 'til next year!

Inside the house we're growing red amaryllis for the wedding. We're hoping the blossoms last another 2 weeks or we'll have to come up with plan B.
