Anyone who
knows Kurt might be surprised to learn that, when we moved to Virginia, he
didn't bring any tools with him. Luckily I thought to bring along my
"girly" tool box. It's come in handy for doing minor repairs
around our apartment and for hanging pictures, etc. Needless to say,
whenever someone in the ward has a "fix-it" issue, Kurt JUMPS at the
chance to help out. As long as they have tools, he's ON IT!!! I'm
grateful that he is always so willing to help. This week was no
exception. A friend had a leaky toilet and he was there to help.
Little did we know, when we managed apartments early in our marriage, that he
would learn how to fix anything and everything. I don't recall EVER
having to hire a repairman for ANYTHING! I love my fix-it man!

SURPRISE!!!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!
Happy Father's Day Kurt ~ I hope you're having a GREAT day today! I have a little surprise for you. Remember how hectic things were the month before you left for Virginia? I remember looking at your "to do" list and thinking, "there is absolutely NO way he's EVER going to get all of those things done!" Well, with the exception of cleaning your workshop, YOU DID! I know it drove you crazy to pack it up and leave without tidying up. Every time I walked by the door to your shop I would smile because it literally looked like a tornado (you working like a madman) had touched down in our basement! Do you remember?????
DON'T PANIC! I promise I didn't throw anything important away ;-)

Busy day for Kurt
Today Kurt had quite an exciting/exhausting day. He had the root tips extracted on tooth #10 and a dental implant placed. The tooth that broke on our vacation to Oregon has just been "hanging" there all week. Dr. Kiholm determined it wasn't savable so we decided this was a much better option than going with a bridge. He stopped by our office on the way to Roseville for the surgery. We needed to take one last x-ray for insurance purposes. Goodbye flappy tooth!

Fishing at Comanche
One of the birthday presents I gave Kurt this year was a guided fishing trip. I arranged with Jeff at C&C Outdoor Adventures to take him out for a day on the lake. Dean Grundy went along and they had a great time.
